  • The Sun newspaper launches job site to get Britain back to work.

Britain’s most popular, tabloid newspaper, The Sun, is doing its bit to match job seekers with job vacancies. Renowned for its scantily clad Page 3 girls and its reporting on subjects like Big Brother, the paper has never done things by halves. See thesun.co.uk/jobs for the jobs now being advertised. TESCO chief executive Sir Terry Leahy has rushed to the front of the queue to advertise. He wants 3,500 recruits over coming months for a dozen new stores. Sir Terry said he was delighted to support the Suns initiative. He added: “There are good jobs out there and The Sun’s job listing service should really help fill some of the vacancies we have, from bakers and checkout assistants to managers and drivers.” Recruiterblog welcomes The Sun into the world of recruitment.
